Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum and a Movie

Later on seeing few photographs from my friend Natalie's trip to this museum, I thought it might be a great place to take the kids over the summer.

The Outmoded Gas & Steam clean Engine Museum is located on 55 acres of farmland in Vista.  Live on there prepared to walk.  It's dusty, and quiet.  On that point are sheds, and out-of-door displays of gas and steam engines, farming equipment, and tools.  At that place are also weaving demonstrations, a blacksmith workshop, a model railroad exhibit, and a small playground for the kids.  They master of ceremonies much of events there.  I extremely recommend going when there is an event on, some of the upcoming ones are a Jewel & Mineral Show and Vulcanized fiber Arts Fiesta, the San Diego Pirate Festival, and the annual Petty Engine That Could BBQ. This will throw the kids more to act, especially if they aren't as interested in antique equipment as you are.

On the day we went, they were hosting a movie night which was part of the FunFlicks Summertime Movies in the Park serial publication.  We saw The Lorax.  Which of course we loved, and the kids were thrilled to be observance it under the stars, this was their ordinal outdoor movie go through.

Instead of ending at 4pm that day, the museum remained open until 6pm so guests could wander around kickoff, and as a special treat they also had the model railroad exhibit open, which is normally only open on Saturday.  Some the museum and the movie were free, which ready-made IT a very cheap, but great Friday night stunned for the States.

We distinct to arrive around 4pm, which would give us two hours to look approximately.  We expended nearly the entire two hours in the model railroad exhibit.  Even then we had to drag the little man out.

We wandered around for a little bit until we located the grassy field where a a few guests were already setting up picnic blankets, and enjoyed a picnic dinner spell observance the sun set and waiting for the movie to begin.

As you can see, even vagabondage roughly the museum, the little serviceman was only interested in anything to do with trains, which included close along the little train pass over.

Then the next deuce hours were spent at the model railroad exhibit, naturally.

The volunteers were still scope upwards, then they let the little man push a aim on one of the smaller tracks.  Helium was excited.

This Drive-In Theatre played an actual flic.  Miss M thought that was pretty cool.

And so, it was off to set up our duck soup dinner party and watch The Lorax.  IT was such a neat night.

In that respect are hush a a couple of more weeks to enjoy these available movies.  To find a location, check mark out the summer movies in the common schedule.  They sell Zea mays everta, drinks, and ice-cream in that location too, merely we found citizenry were scope prepared all but an hour in front the start time, thus I recommend packing a cinch dinner party too.

We noticed larger groups of people in that location excessively (4-5 families with kids), so if you are provision on a small family, or acquaintance natal day party for your kids, what could be better, and cheaper, than this.  Pack walkover food, a cake, and beverages, relish a free movie, and babble cheerful natal day.
